Easy way to tell is have a look at the headlight switch, if there's a wheel to alter the headlight height then it's not self levelling ;)

Thought that was only for the HID lamps and worked from sensors on the front suspension. Maybe my fault am asking about the rear shocks. The cars a 2.2 cdx 2001 estate model

All 3 of my cars (cd spec with bog standard lights)  have had this facility.

OK had a quick look underneath the rear today and the shocks had what i can only describe as a tyre valve cap sized thing at the top

Looks like a very thin black plastic tube or wire tucked right up out of the way. If they are where does the air from (compressor ?)

Cheers Andy i'll have a look tomorrow. Thanks Albitz know what am looking for now. Must have one as i have a receipt dated 2010 from VX for a replacement but all it says is compressor motor. There is a clicking when i turn on. Been trying to trace the noise for 2 days now, thought i had something wrong going on

Shine a torch up between the front of the wheelarch liner and the back of the bumper and you should see it.I dont think Ive ever heard of a cdx having self levelling though. :-\

Car was owned by a guy from Blenheim Palace with loads of money. Think he saw the accessory list and said yes please. Things like Found out today if i turn the air con on cold air is blown in the glovebox. Elec folding mirrors, auto dim mirror, leather memory seats. heated f & r. It's even got Wilton over mats. Would have been cheaper buying a Elite model
