Conservative Party Political Broadcast
« on: 13 March 2013, 17:06:43 »

It is not all bad.

Our Dave is basing his Party Political tonight on these statements:

BRITAIN'S BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD
What we inherited from Labour wasn't just a massive deficit - it was the sense that things were wrong in our country. People who work hard and do the right thing weren't getting anything back and others were getting something for nothing.
We've already started to tackle this:
The deficit is down by a quarter
Immigration is down by a third
  Benefits have been capped
Businesses have created over 1 million new jobs

Still, there's so much more to do.
Britain is in a global race, competing for success against countries like China and India. For Britain to succeed, we can't abandon the course we're on, or pretend that there are easy answers. What really matters is taking the right long-term decisions for the good of the country.
Everything we do in government is about helping people to get on and make the most of their lives. It’s not a numbers game – it's about people. That's what the Prime Minister will say in a Party Political Broadcast shown on national television tonight. You can see an exclusive preview of the footage here:

If you believe that Britain's best days are ahead and want to help build a Conservative majority government at the next election then please join up to Team 2015.
We're building a big volunteer network to ensure that we focus your help where it's needed. Join here.
Best wishes,

Grant Shapps
Chairman of the Conservative Party

I feel sure some of you will have comments on this so discuss! :D :D :D :D ;)

Ok I'll kick it off....

If business has created 1 million new jobs, why are there 2.5 million still out of work. ???

Obvious answer is 1 million jobs have been lost. (or 1 million immigrants came in and took the jobs)

So what's to spout about that ::)

Patronising pillocks :y

Plus the jobs created are either part time or contracts where the hours are at the employers asking. That's why the welfare bill keeps rising, these 'jobs' require working tax credits to give folk any chance of getting by.

Talk is cheap, judge them on their failures record over the last 2.75 years.

My mid-term report is:

Cameron, David School Government Report:

1. Easily lead astray on to what turn out to be dead ends. I do hope there are no character flaws here, where he seems to have a strange but strong interest in promoting of all things, Gay Marriage.

2. Although in charge of the tuck shop, he has no interest in its day-to-day running, preferring to leave that to Osborne.

3. Needs to concentrate and learn much more if he is to leave here with anything in 2015.

4. He must learn to spend much less time playing computer games and concentrate on the tasks in hand.

5. He has the rather bad habit of getting security involved in fights that are nothing to do with us.

6. He must try much harder and cut down of what he considers pleasant jollies to Brussels and other European capitals as I think some of the friends he has made are generally unsuitable for the good of those around him.

7. We had great expectations of this boy but he continues to disappoint, on his current course, where we expected him to at least achieve second and hopefully first in the 2015 exams, it now looks as if he might even struggle to come third, where Nigel Farage has really improved over the last 12 months, which seems to be upsetting Cameron and causing friction between them.

8. Although his ambition is to be CEO of UK PLC, I don't really see him as CEO material, however he is a good communicator, so a job in PR or advertising maybe more suitable.

Osborne, George School Government Report:

1. Big mistake in putting him in charge of the tuck shop, where he really struggles at basic maths and has no grasp of economics and has no interest in doing so. His policies have meant that with an ever growing customer base he has done nothing to improve sales, but at least losses are down very slightly!

2. He is totally unsuited to his career ambitions of being financial director of UK PLC, so I hope for the future success of the company, he never gets with his loyal friend's help, Cameron, to get that job.

3. Constantly get things wrong and generally disappoints and he would not be where he is today in charge of the tuck shop without Cameron's help. It it wasn't for Cameron's protection and loyalty, purely on results he would have been sacked from that job by now.

4. He is however a practical person, his towels are always very neatly refolded after a shower and he has shown some aptitude at data entry during his NHS work experience.

5. However as he is far from the most intelligent in the class, I fear he will struggle in life to achieve much and have very low expectations of him getting the results he is looking for in the 2015 exams, even though he is determined against our advice to organizing our revision timetables and classes, which we consider to be, another unnecessary distraction from running the tuck shop.

6. After his exam results in 2015, I'm not sure on how he will carve out a future career but if he lowers his ambitions sufficiently, he may do well as a shop worker and in time may even make it to assistant manager.

.........and a new major crisis breaking this morning with Cameron way out, saying he cannot talk any longer with the other parties on the Leveson findings and an agreement over a solution, and instead and going for a Royal Charter.

Just as Cameron decides to take his arguement to the house of commons (Monday), operation elveden uncovers more shenanigans at the daily mirror.
If the mirror story develops legs, then it will be running alongside the debate in the house. Not good for our beloved leader. ;)

Here's an ironic twist. If the press jump all over the latest misdoings at the daily mirror, they will be giving ammunition to the lab/lib parties who want something on the statute books. Will it go on the back burner till after the vote, or be buried altogether?
