My very personal opinion, if he was relaunched today in the current PC correct climate, he would crash and burn in a very short space of time.  And the world would still be a very sad place as a result.

When you think about it, a hell of a lot of all time fave programs wouldn't pass the PC censor nowadays.
A good few Python sketches spring instantly to mind along with Fawlty Towers (Don't mention the war) et al.

Very true.

In my defence, I think that some (Alf Garnet, On the Buses, Rising Damp and similar) would also fail the censor rules but others such as Dave Allen would pass muster under the 'father ted' exclusion....    ;)
