Changed interior(same year,52)
airbag light came on.Had it read showingcode
sba6(omniscan reader) on the drivers seat.
Grateful for any help.

Did you diss battery before seat removal?

battery disconnected
codes were cleared but came back
changed airbag units for ones
off original seats which I knew were
good.Same result.

Disconnect the battery etc, etc.

Carefully inspect the wiring at the seat connectors. Suspect a busted wire on the car side of one of the yellow plugs :-\

sounds like op has got the disable function for airbags with transponder chip in passenger seat for baby car seats and not the new ones fitted

IIRC yours is a 2.2. What spec were the donor seats from?

I think you are reading the ECU type?

You said it was a code "drivers seat". Are you sure it wasn't passenger?
