What sort of mileage?

It may actually help to use a slightly thicker oil, such as GM Semi.

Not even run in then at 11K and that's a pre facelift is it not (can't see headlights). Oil pressure to low on tickover when warm so red oil warning light flicks. Daft question but have you checked the oil level? Must be pre facelift as it's a 2.2dti so should have semi 10w/40 in it not fully 5w/30. Could have had the fully in it when you got it.

2.2DTi only available as FL ;)

The drop to 5/30 was only to allow the 20k oil servicing, which is probably what has shagged the engine in this thread.

So, I'd go for the thicker oil to keep the pressure up at idle. Or replace the oil pump, but probably not worth it as its a Vectra-C, bloody 'orrible things.
