They are known for being unstable at speed.

I know that back in the late 1970s Hampshire Police stopped using Range Rovers after they lost two officers when one over-turned during a chase. :'( :'( :'(

They still aren't designed for speed. ;)

that is intresting as my car is very stable at speed...in fact i had to steer around accident just last week at 65 mph ish...done it as safely as the omega...no i think its just very bad driving coupled with the fact it as a high centre of gravity....but it is what it is....meant to be used off road :y

Yes, but double decker buses were always tested on a ramp tipping them sideways to a frightening degree.

Here is an example of that testing:

But at speed you wouldn't want to weave a double decker bus at 70 plus, as it is just not designed for speed.  That is why racing cars are very low to the ground for greater high speed stability.  A Range Rover will never have that advantage.  I have lost count how many 4x4's I have seen on their sides over the years.  Weaving at even 65 mph is pushing your luck ;)

Are these 4x4's on their side through trying to avoid you Lizzie?
