Those are noisy as the air has to pass through the mesh , ceiling fans are better and quieter .. think we paid £30 a while back for one , and the flying bugs dont like them if they ever come out of hibernation  ;D
That's a good price  :y

Aye we have loads of bugs flying around at night (probably from all the trees) so when watching TV (i like watching films at night) windows have to be closed or the'll swamp the house and gun for the TV after its off suck our blood at night  ;D

Like the look of this one just not the price. Handy to have a remote to ajust the settings.

More exquisite laughter - stage left!

Get some mesh, stick on window opening.. ;D ;D ;D ;D Simples.

Good news, I have put you back on the Varche Summer Party list . So much to learn and so little time.

Can you mix and lay concrete?

Well Eastern side of uk is much colder than West , cold wind blowing and more like 10deg  >:( Too cold for ice cream man who just pulled up  :P

ice cream at 10 celcius..    ???   later I will need surgery to breath ;D

 :o

Omegaman will be sleeping in his car  ::) ;D
That would mean having the engine on all night imagine how much petrol it would use  :o :D ;D

I'll have a look on Argos's website see if i can find one around £50 say.

How noisy are these compared to ceiling fans ?

they have generally 3-4 levels.. first level never noisy..

Here's the description on this fan.

Pedestal Fan with Remote Control 3 fan speed settings. This product features oscillation function and is light and portable. The modern design is ideal for home or office use.

I must admit i'm tempted by this one with the remote. Yep very lazy i know  ;D

The ceiling fan would be a bit more work to sort out and...
..The last time i played with some house wiring i got thrown back and the screwdriver had melted (many moons ago) :o ;D
(Should have added: someone said they had turned the electric off)  ::)

I put something like this in the boys bedroom years ago, but had to put a reinforcing section, between the ceiling joists to take the additional weight and movement... :y :y

Not warm enough up her at night to get the fan out yet..... :( :(
