Well that ceiling fan didn't last long, Its been dismantled and packaged up ready to take to Argos for a replacement if they will.

The noise it was making was just getting worse as the hours pass  :-\ ... Hopefully it's just a faulty unit and their not all like that..

They should change it. I bought a garden blower, which was crap. Took it back three months later and told them it was not suitable for the job it was designed for and they gave me a refund.

Should have paid a bit extra for a quiet one without remote, dimmer,tea making facilities. That is the problem with these cheap CDX models. Had ours on all night. whisper silent.

£95 is pretty expensive  :o .. The remote is very handy cant do without it now  ;)

Very hot and sticky here now , wish id kept the ceiling fan now  :( Back to woolen jumpers and umbrellas tomorrow  ;D

Got the replacement today and its all fitted and seems to be a better unit so far (touch wood) completely silent  :y

Must of been those pattern ceiling bolts  ::) Mine use to make a noise , but i just turned the ball socket it was hanging from now and then  :)

28c upstairs tonight  :o, Think the fans going to be on full blast with ear plugs in. Was around 25c outside today at times.
