Oh dear, such sad sad news.  :'(
I really hoped for some kind of miracle that he might pull through this but it wasn't to be.

Devastating news! I'm sure you are now resting in peace Paul. Resting in the knowledge that you have enriched everyone's life that has been privileged to be involved with yours. You've enriched this forum by your presence and support and I'm sure that though you have now moved on to pastures new you will be missed but never forgotten.

As so many have already said, condolences to Jane and the family. Be proud that Paul was part of your life because you are much richer for it.
