I thought the FM aerial HAD to run down the PASSENGER side of the vehicle? Quote me if I'm wrong  :-\

I have a feeling mine does, but I might be wrong. It's been a while since I looked. IIRC, I have 2 unused cables that come up to behind the driver's kick panel. Easy way to tell which is which is to find them around the rear seat area (under the little armrest panel). The GSM one goes up past the seat back, up the rear pillar behind the trim and across to the antenna.

Ok daddy  ;)

Thought it was, but I also thought they had to run down the pas side.

Ok nice one.

So, the black one it is, so I just need an FME coupler and some more wire then.

Im just going to pop out and have a look in the boot area for this wire to confirm my suspicions  :)

Right all sorted, just been out to the boot and found this, the grey FM wire and where my thumb and index finger are, the GSM cable wrapped up in some sort of foamy tape and they obviously run down the Drivers side, much to my surprise  ::) .

So, just need to get an FME coupler and some more cable to run behind the dash onto the pas side. Cheers all.  :)

Just one more question, I promise  ::)

Whats the frequency of the antenna? is it GSM 800mhz? I will be putting in a PAYG Voda sim in the unit, so will obviously run 2G.

As Rob says its a 1/4 Wave for 900 Mhz, but you probably find it will run quiet happy as a 1/2 Wave at 1800 Mhz.

2G (The Generation Spec) can be 900 or !800 Mhz, so your probably find the Nokia Kit will run all Networks, with the exception of Three.

As said a few posts up, if you get stuck with the FME plugs and bits, Ive got some kicking around, I could always make up an extension cable for you.

Why the coupler, think you just need 2m coax with FME Female and Male on each end.
