Locking Wheel Nut Key Numbers
« on: 27 July 2013, 17:17:27 »

Hi all,

I know that locking wheel nuts have been talked about quite a bit but I just wondered if anybody knew if you can still order replacement keys with a FS code? all the new ones seem to be just 3 numbers! The code I have is FS1740, Steelers were no help and the socket trick doesn't work because of the collar.

Any advice would be grand!

Tanks Ben

I can't help with the locking wheelnut key, but any tyre place worth their weight will have them off in seconds.

I usually weld a nut on the end, then wrench them off as normal.

You have to break the collar with a cold chisel then whack a impact socket on.  :y

Believe you can still get them from Vx - about £30 - try AndyC on here ;)

yes vauxhall still do them not cheap though, very annoying its about £35 - we had to do it a few weeks back as said above you cant hammer a socket on due to the collar.
