Ive actually done six nearly months on a car that was taxed before I realized when I went to renew it that the valid tax disc had been in the glove box all that time.

As said you shouldn't have any ANPR or Traffic Police issues,but be careful where you park it, failure to display carries a £80 fine, if its seen by the DVLA Van by the naked eye they will clamp it, £80 plus £150 to get itreleased plus more if it gets lifted after 24hrs

That's the sort of thing I was worried about to be honest and although I'd paid the tax I did wonder how quickly they update the system for ANPR cameras.  :-\

Anyway the disc turned up today so I'm OK again!  :) Some interesting answers. Thanks!!  :y

In theory its 24 Hours over working days but can take up to 3 days.
