Decorator cost
« on: 13 August 2013, 22:09:59 »

Remember we live in the North, how much would you expect to pay a decent decorator?

What I really want is a 'Jobbing' decorator, someone who can do a few jobs as part of it, ie spindles on the stairs and some minor repairs...... :D :D

Decorators down this way are on £120 - £140 when on day rate, so £80 in your neck of the woods sounds about right to me.

If you have more than a couple of days work then you may be better off pinning him down to a fixed price rather than day rate.
