crankshaft sensor 2.6 v6?

any one know if its the Bosch or Siemens crankshaft sensor that is right for the 2.6 v6 engine?

any one know if its the Bosch or Siemens crankshaft sensor that is right for the 2.6 v6 engine?

Bosch, part number 90540743 according to my file.

It's well known and reported here that Pattern crank/cam sensors give huge variation in results, so much so that OOF only recommends genuine. As saving a few quid with a slightly cheaper one, is often not cost effective as they can fail much quicker. Sometimes not working at-all.

Site listed below, does not appear to list genuine parts. Can easily see that from the oil filters  ::)

Given that a car should generally only get through 1 crank sensor in its life, I'd personally pay the extra and get it on trade from a dealer.

MotherT's only started to show signs of failure at 120k or what ever it on now.

It may well be cheaper for op to buy direct from stealers in Derry, but I certainly wouldn't post a link for a pattern crank sensor!
