Didn't really have that sort of thing on my mind, nor Pikey Palaces either!  ;D

Just a little trailer with a small gennie.....  ;D  Maybe you could run a small gennie in the boot, venting the exhaust out the back somehow!!!  ::)  ;D

Didn't Top Gear already try that? Wait a sec...

 ;D ;D ;D

Plus there is the small matter of the fact that you cannot charge with the 'motor running' (ie drive mode) for safety reasons.

The idea is that you charge while you are doing something else like shopping, resting or visiting someone.  Thus I would envisage that the charging stations are targeted as such.  Rapid (30 min to 80%) at service stations and strategic points, Fast (a couple or few hours to 80%) or slow (any domestic plug socket that can handle constant 10A draw) anywhere you like.

I like the fact that I can drive as fast as I like in to London for just a few quid, park shop and charge for a few quid more and then drive back.  Obviously I have to do better at planning than yesterday but it still worked ::)

Is that because it won't go faster than any speed limit or is that just your cyclist mentality kicking in!! ie the rules of the road don't apply to me!!!!  :P  ;D ;D ;D

Since seeing yours I keep contemplating taking a visit to Nissan for a test drive (although the nearest dealer is annoyingly far away) .. but then I look again at the range at my average cruising speed and it's barely enough to get from here to Oxford services for a top up :(

I don't think it's really designed for sustained cruise at *cough* 70 *cough* given how the numbers swing down when you use their calculator!

Perhaps a Note is in my future instead. I will, of course, buy a flat cap.. actually, no, I already have one of those  :-[

Remember that more than 50% discharges shag the battery. And I think that is logged for warranty purposes?

It's quite quick actually. Impressive. :y

I don't think it would be quick for very long if driven aggressively though. I think Guffer said as much.

And yes, where's that Josh fellow, runways must be getting quiet this time of year. :-\

Having had a few spirited sessions today, and following from our conversation about 0-30 and 0-60, who would win.  I know I said that 0-30 the Leaf would have most things because of the torque from the electric motor...but I fancy my chances on the 0-60 as well.

It would be very interesting to see :y

But I will only do it once ;D

If it wasn't for the 2 milliions tonnes of battery, tizzy cars would be unbeatable on initial acceleration.

The Omega will top 60 in second ::)

Is the range disappearing at the last bar part of a 'Last Gasp' effort to get to a safe place? Did the radio and aircon die at the same time :-\
