Great looking car. I would have one in a flash if I had Gixers money.

If you'd stuck with omegas instead of peshin it up the wall on an Astra, a Zafira and a gay Daewoo, you would have! ;D
You forgot the megane coupe which, btw, has not let us down in 3 years, 30000 miles. :P

Oh....and it has a built-in tom tom that works perfectly  :P

So these Saabs...? ::)

I like them, prefer the 9-5 to the 9-3 though looks wise

Given its based on that mong the insignia then, I know which one I'd have, by bloody miles. :)

The Insignia is even worse than that. ;)

I've always liked SAABs and always hankered after a 900 Turbo as a young lad about town!  :-*

Had to make do with a Fiat Uno instead tho....  :(

2008 without looking :y

Having looked ;D not a bad guess...unveiled in 2007. It was basically a test mule for the Insignia 2.8 :y

I've always thought them pig ugly tbh. Stupidly large bumpers on early models, weird lines on newer ones, until the 9-5. Still some weird lines, but somehow intriguing. Looks a proper car IMO.

Sadly too new and expensive by the looks of things, and there's the gay wheel drive issue. But maybe one day.

The engine is the same as used by Vx (the twin turbo 2.0 CDTi) in the insignia and later Astra (2013).

My experience of parts supply for Saab in recent years is problematic and getting worse, simple things like radiator hoses, intercooler hoses etc are difficult to get and you often end up with some dodgy thing made up of shiney blue bolt on bob parts bodged together. Service parts are no issue.

Similarly trim items are very hard to find (as per Rovers etc these days to) plus panels are a mare (also as bad as a Smart!) with the original tooling being sold to third parties but, its pretty worn so quality is not good!

Nice cars to drive (althogh I always found the dash very plastic like)

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but according to Clarkson, the average Saab owner is above average intelligence and not a man who follows the crowd. :y

long ago but not anymore I'm afraid :-\
