bread and water tha dunt know thas bloody born,when I were a lad we dreamt of it and mi father used to split a crumb into 25 pieces and give us one a week and if we were still hungry after it he used to make us throw up so we could eat it again before beatin us to death for  supper and if we moaned about that we got no breakfast for 38 years
