Drivers seat stopped working!
« on: 15 November 2013, 17:31:43 »

I'm just picking my car up after getting the heater servo motor changed and as I've collected the electrics of the drivers seat have stopped working - any thoughts please as the mech is trying to find the problem, Friday night 5.30?

You have tried the obvious? Fuse? Connection come undone? I think I have heard the connector under the seat can come adrift. Is there power to the seat?

Is it trying to move? Are all functions dead? Check fuses also any coins that may have jammed in if its just forward/back that's not working

Thanks for the suggestions, thankfully the mech stayed with it, who used to have a miggy.
The glovebox light had rotted with age and one of the terminals had fallen inside and was actually shorting on the airbag casing which apparently affected the seat - anyway, all's ok and working fine - phew!
