I haven't 'lost' anything. Buy any car from a dealer and go back a week later and ask him for a trade-in price.

If he doesn't offer at least £500 quid less he will be shot.
Depending on original price, I reckon at least 10% less.

Remember, they've got to hang on to it for at least 4-6 weeks for the V5 to come back.

So, your point is what? Exactly?

That you've pissed 10% up the wall the instant you purchase? Then there's the depreciation on top of that.

Yes....easily 10%...same for everyone. Unless you want to go down the new car route and buy loads of VAT as well. You've got to realise that you're in the minority. Most people buy new or nearly new cars, that's why the roads are full of 10,11,12,13 plate cars, not X, Y and so on.

Yes. Because their idiots.

Car tax is going up, ooh, must go buy a smaller car, for the sake of say £400 road fund, they go and spend 15k on a smaller car.

Ditto fuel costs.

Then do it all again on bloody hybrid.

Why, because they can't use a bloody spanner is why. Go to night school or sumat.
