I have the worst cold I've ever had. Throat kills, my nose is trying to eat my face, coughing like a trooper and very weak and lethargic

Determined not to call in sick tomorrow but can barely stand.. Any advice on good natural remedies?

Yep.....rest...rest...rest...rest.....you will feel better quicker and also dont forget your work mates wont want it..

If natural comes out of a box  A couple of Beecham's Powders in a glass with as little water as possible & down 'em in a one-er

Without going into detail I work for the public sector, and our HR dept uses a formula called the Bradford index to calculate sickness

In dec 12 I had a few weeks off with a heart issue, and in march 13 a few days with a chest infection, all certified by doc. If I go sick over this, my "score" will rocket, and I will be dragged over the coal...

All very well drinking spirits and hot toddies but dont forget that maybe he drives to work and wrong time of year to do that......i guess your best bet is to hiss off your work mates by going into work and then get them to send you home sick......what other proof would the miserable sods want as proof..

My workmates and boss are fine. It's the HR dept who don't know me from Adam who will be getting involved when a computer system "warns" about my score which worries me...

Same here, they even suggested the sack, whilst that is 'dangle berries' it can make life difficult, and I became disabled whilst working for them so they know, I never used to be ill......

Any of the cold cures with a tipple or three of Whisky, I wish you well......
