Fly tipping!
« on: 30 December 2013, 20:49:47 »

Someone fly tipped some rubbish behind our house. Went out pissed off cursing to myself. Anyway went through it and found an address in stoke, so jumped in the car and drove there. Knocked on the door and no answer. So next door came out as it was his daughters house. Told him a fly tip from this address was dumped outside my house. He said he used someone called ****** ****** but didn't have his number. Searched Facebook and found him and also found his van reg number, called him and gave him a round of abuse. I said u either move it or I call police and council. He blagged that it wasn't him and it may have been one of his lads bla bla bla. As soon as I mentioned the reg number of his van and full name it was, errrr errrrr errrr ok I'll sort it.

And I'm still going to call the council 8)

And.. even if you are quite entitled to use the tip free of charge having paid for it through your £200 a month council tax bill, increasingly, you get the spanish inquisition if tipping anything other than a few grass cuttings, IME. >:(

Not surprising that the unscrupulous take the easy route of transferring the problem to someone else. ::)

Not my experience of tipping in Coxhoe or Ripon, really well organised and helpful, will even help you unload heavy stuff; may be that is the North for you........... :y :y

Likewise at our Virador run tip, but when talking to lads at work that live St Helens way it seems that there are far more restriction of what & how often you can tip - even as Joe Public. Wigan also seems to more restrictions. As suggested .... that's why people fly tip
