had a bad day
« on: 15 January 2014, 22:03:48 »

Well it started off by me pulling out in front of a poor chap this morning with my lorry I just couldn't see him as the truck mirror was in the way and as I approached the junction he stayed in the blind spot. :-[ I got out and apologised and explained what had happened (s**ty DAF truck).
Then I took out a wing mirror of an Audi.
Then I ran the wheel nuts up a Fiat doblo illegally parked and the woman driver phoned the police who then booked her for parking on double yellows and causing an obstruction then we were told to swap details. that was the best part of today.
well hope I have better luck tomorrow.

You're not Frank Spencer are you?  ;D

I'd have said the best bit though was taking the Audi's wing mirror off. Good job  :y :y :y

That sounds like the last day I worked at the agency :-X That was a DAF CF too ::) oddly, so was the truck that hit me...  :-\

It's one of lifes quirks though, if a day starts out wrong, sometimes it gets worse, and sometimes it gets better. The kicker is that you don't find out until after...

Specsavers do great deals on glasses, you know.. ;D

I saw a truck run it's wheel nuts up the side of a Focus the other day after the Focus decided to try and 'nip past' on the inside of the truck on the crazy M4 J11 junction.. which caused a giant tailback as the car driver clearly wanted some 'magic' way to get off the truck without causing more damage ::)

If it's any consolation I nearly had a middle aged fella as a bonnet ornament last night when he appeared from between two parked vans..

I recall when I had my Sintra, I stopped in a narrowish road to let a truck come through. He totally misjudged it and his wheelnuts trashed the side of the car. Lots of witnesses & all sorted on insurance .........

I did something similar once but it was a push-bike, going about 25mph, in Paris, oh and the pedestrian was German.  Even though he ran across a road in full flow of cars, lorries and myself on 2 wheels it was my fault.  Nasty gash to the idiot poor bugger's head and if I didn't wear a helmet I'd have been a goner.

Everyone has days like that, its unfortunate that they also happen to those of us that drive things a bit bigger than a Fiesta... it's all only metal though :y
