main reason is the private sector having high amount of US dolar debit.. and now pay back time.

second factor FED tightening the dolar output..

third : political reasons..

fourth : inefficient and incompetent central bank because their left hand is tied to increase interest rates because of polticians..

fifth : citizens starting to buy US dolar

And it's not that long back that Turkey knocked 3 noughts off their Lira ie TL1000 000 became TL1000

The last time we went to Turkey for a holiday IIRC there was around TLmillion to £1 ....... the one & only time I'll be a millionaire!

The Fed tighten by beginning to taper their $85 billion a month stimulus is affecting many other developing countries, including India, Indonesia and Brazil and maybe Argentina (Their mad woman president has screwed their economy anyway, think Hollande on botox. ).

The US FED have been very sympathetic, your problem, deal with it! 

In Asia wealth has traditionally be stored in gold, not potentially worthless paper. In India their citizens have been buying so much, their government has attempted to restricted its import, which they know is working as they are catching more smugglers. 

All central banks have become politicized and controlled by the politicians, Cameron was only the other day that the BOE is fully independent.

That's going to hurt some borrowers but savers will be happy if the increase is passed on!

idiots !!! even that interest doesnt change anything but will increase country debit.
