fast food
« on: 19 February 2014, 14:52:46 »

with kitchen appliances out of action for a day or so I was requested to go get fish and chips last night.

WTF - £4.60 for a piece of haddock, £2.40 for chips - what is going on?

I think it used to be 2 shillings including a soft drink.

I would like to eat f and c strolling the promenade at Blackpool I must admit - or has that changed as well?

Christ on a bike, there are some perks to living up north, my local takeaway is £4 for fish and chips, and its lush.

We need an OOF Good Grub Guide. Online, I'm not suggesting we publish a softback alternative to the Michelin guide...

Not sure about this - we will probably get treated to a review of the Wakefield Tripe House before we know where we are. You might have to price band it to sort the wheat from the chaff.

The weatherby whaler is a fine establishment for fish and chips in Wakefield. You'd be hard pushed to eat the 'whaler' as well, it's bleeding massive. I think that's about £8, just for the fish. I shall look on Friday when I go.

And don't call me junior  :P
