Webby, remove plenum, but join the 2 pipes that go to throttle body.

Replace coolant tank cap with one with a valve in (mine survived the garage incident, it was blown into field behind!). With a bike pump, pressure it to about 8-10psi. You should be able to visually see leak - though to fully test HBV, disconnect vac pipe to it, check for leak, then suck hard on it, and check again (the valve can leak in either position).

Thanks TB. When I check i'll remove plenum and join the two pipes as you say..... but no need to make homemade cap as I pick up the pressure tester on Wednesday so will just use that!

nice bit on ingenuity though lol  :y

Maybe it was needed to fund the home made pressure testing cap ?? Expensive business is research and development lol  :D
