wanted: pfl / mfl elite leather door card
« on: 29 March 2014, 21:33:44 »

Hi guys as per title for 99 saloon drivers door card. As I am going to have to destroy mine to gain access to the locking mechanism as door is deadlocked and central locking has failed on drivers door. Putting the key in the door is not working.  :'(

Got a set of MV6 Door Cards Danny, but there the Carbon Fibre type and was planning on selling them with the other Carbon Fibre bits as getting quiet rare now. If you didn't need the Carbon Fibre strips, suppose I could pull them off and we could do a deal on the cards without them, if that makes sense. Chris.

Got some leather Elite ones too, from a PF ie pre 98, from memory they have a part of the door card cut out of them for the heaters or some thing, or did I just make that bit up, any way part of the card has been factory cut, are these the same as your PFL.

Dont know mate, best I can do is take a Pic, but wont be for a day or two, as Im up to my eyeballs moving this weekend.

Wouldn't have thought it will be to do with airbags as they were never fitted to seats untill 98 on.

Fairly sure it was something to do with heaters on the early elites. :-\

I dont know. I am pretty sure I have airbags in the door behind the door card. But the card I have dont have anything on them that will allow the airbag to deploy through the card. If you could take some pics that would be helpful. Thanks. No rush on it as I wont be tearing it apart in a hurry and like I said I do have a door card I can use from another car but its pretty mouldy so would rather get a new one. Thanks chris :y

There are air pressure sensors in the rear lower corner of the from doors that talk to the airbags in the side of the front seats  ;)

Oh right. Well the whole of the big hole on my front doors is filled by a black thing that is riveted to the door. Is that the sensors? I will take pics when I manage to get the door open.  :y
