I reckon it being lighter than your Merc 2.2, Al, it would out accelerate your Merc any day  ;D :D

Acceleration is down to gearing, and the Merc has a twin turbo and a proper drive train, so whilst your trying to find traction, I shall be across the lights and changing up into third ;D

Besides the Merc is better built ;)

Each to their own, I'm 6'5 and about 17 1/2 stone and there's more than enough room in it for me. 45-47mpg on a run and in the 25k I've done in just over 12 months it hasn't missed a beat (unlike certain BMW's I can mention)

You'll still have traction issues ;D

Figures are closer than you might like, the Merc produces a fair bit more torque :y

Her. Oh. Are they back?

Me. Aye?

Her. Blank look.

Me. She's put petrol in a duel fuel car because the fuel light is on.

Her. Are they back?
