I always wondered Lizzy.....how big is that gap in Watford... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Too big in my mind Miggy! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)  It is letting too many 'foreigners' in from the North, including that xxxxxxx idiot Gordon Brown! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Now Now Lizzy...nothing wrong with Mr Brown...that a drop off Ben Nevis would not sort out ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hang on a minute. LZ that is offensive to us northerners, >:( GB is not a northerner he is from another Country, so nothing to do with us. :-X
Can's say the same about Tony Blaire though :o :o :o

I said "foreigners" not northerners, which I understand from a previous thread is perfectly acceptable ( ;D ;D ;D ;D), and anyway as you say GB is Scottish and the SNP themselves want to become "foreign" to England! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

Whew!  Did I get away with that?  ::) ::) ::) ::)

If not, to be perfectly PC and considerate to all fellow human beings,  I will apologize now! ;D ;)

Nice to see this place has threads that wander off topic like anywhere else then!

I'll admit I found this place purely as I wanted to know how to go about some minor work on my Omega, but I still lurk pretty regularly.  FWIW this forum seems to be a very friendly place with little or no chips on shoulders (unlike a couple I could think of) and having a large number of registered members with a small core is nothing unusual in my experience either.

So all I can say is enjoy this place, it's a credit to you all.

Still gets a bit chilly in the winter though. I lived there for 30 years and remember having to scrape the ice off the car windscreen. Definately oop na'th if you ask me and they talk funny, just listen to my wife.

First day at school in Bristol. The teacher told everyone to go and get their 'dap bags'. I didn't have a clue what she meant and cried my eyes out. We called them plimsoles where I came from.

You are right Golfbuddy!  It is that habit of putting a "L" on the end of words ending in "A" that always gets me going ;D ;)  Like I love driving my 'Cortinal'; or that is a good 'ideal',  or I live in a lovely 'Areal'!  ;D ;D ;D  Lovely people though! :D :y

Have a look at this then.

Warning, it may make you feel all nostalgic or just a little bit sick.  ;)
