Missing a Puurrrrrrrrrr
« on: 25 June 2014, 17:39:14 »

Hi guys!  :y
As I continue with my problem solving and TLC adventure on the Mig, I thought I'd share with you the way she currently sounds.
I'm hearing a hissing tinkly type noise in the sound. (Agree?) It's coming from the cam belt area.
Listen to all 3 Videos and tell me what you think.
Videos were recorded on the marvelous HTC One M8  ::)

Video 01. http://youtu.be/72ot9wwoKpg
Video 02. http://youtu.be/Hy97j5WYSfY
Video 03. http://youtu.be/jPGMYMY44hM

Your input and opinions are greatly appreciated folks!  :y

Cheers
Ant

Hi thanks for the message but can you be a bit more specific please?
What will that do?
Notice anything wrong?
"Aux belt"? Which, why? Where is that? Got a pic?

Cheers Anthony

Can that be removed and the engine running?
If yes...Why doesn't it affect the engine?

Sorry for the lack of peanuts but I'm still learning  :'(

Done this recently to check for a type of ratteling buzzing noise...

Just made sure the engine is cold and don't run it long without the aux belt.

In my case without the aux belt in place it didn't make the sound that I have for around 30 seconds on start up then goes away... Never found out what it was, Have a feeling it's the tensioner.

Anyway good luck finding the problem  :y
