Oh yes mr opti , a quarter of barley sugar wrapped in a paper bag  If we were lucky  we would get some kayli and a liquorish dipper

Parma Violets, that were 2/6d a quarter in 1967, and sold from a lovely shaped jar, and not to be confused with the modern version sold in a small round packet.

By then I was a counter assistant in a confectioners and I spent my hard earned wages on these beauties when other sweets were about 7d a quarter.  Damned expensive by lovely!

Used to be a bit partial to Victory V's when I was a kid in the winter months.

Fairly sure we've had a topic on them before, seem to remember they up of all sorts of chemicals they weren't good for ya.
