The decision is for people who live in scotland not the uk to decide. Why should the rest of uk get a say?
If you dont live here even if you scottish that's tough
Why should we pay the debt  if we not getting a share  you cant tell us one minute we nothing you get nothing now you complaining we leaving .

I'm not asking for a say, but I think that the TV debate should be broadcast across the UK as it's something that effects the whole country not just Scotland.  Faslane and Trident for example.  ;)

As to the debt if Scotland walks away from it's share of the UK national debt then it'll be a great way to start a new country, in technical default!  ::)

Exactly my point, ST. This just sums up how ridiculous it would be for Scotland to walk away or to even want to.

Although when it comes down to it I think our friends from the Highlands will vote to stay  ::)

I think that the international money markets will take a different view.  ::)  If Scotland walks away from it's share of UK debt, then what will stop them from defaulting on any new debts that are taken on?  ???  ::)

If Scotland votes 'Yes' then I think that the divorce proceedings will be messy, but Scotland will do OK as they'll get most of Britain's North Sea oil.  :y

To be honest I think that Scottish independence has been inevitable since devolution. They may not vote for it this time, but it won't go away and if that's what the Scottish people want then good luck!  :y

I wish it would sometimes  ::) Majority of Scottish people are pleasant and friendly here more so the older ones but the young offspring ram scotland in your face and how its so much better than england and most have never been to scotland  >:( Im not scottish myself by the way ... aye  ;D

To be honest the debt I imagine will be part of the negations after the vote . I cant answer the debt question as I do not know the outcome of negotiations.

To be fair mate, I don't think anyone's made any bad comments.  :-\

I'm not sure Englanders do have a problem. Just curious as to what the SNPs plans are should they get their way :)

Again the snp and referendum are to diffrrnt things

Hitler really explain  Westminster forcing folk to pay for nukes rather than nhs or other services. Osborne and Cameron are closer to fasicim than salmond . Stop reading torygraph and quoting you just look daft

Again I will explain in Sept we vote for staying or leaving not for snp.

In 2016 we have a general election to decided what party will be the first Scottish government of an Indy Scotland.

You reckon?  ???

I think Salmond and his crew plan a one party state modeled on North Korea which apparently is also a socialist paradise!  8)

It'll be fine though, as I understand they will give free deep fried mars bars to all primary school kids!  :y

Firstly, the only trolling started at Reply#18 ::)

Secondly, our issues would be reduced without Scotlands issues added in, the Union however will suffer, and suffer badly for it :-\

Being of Orcadian descent, Westminster is easy to ignore on the Islands. I cannot see Holyrood being any more constructive tbh, and would go as far as to say that those softy Lowlanders have no rights of interference north of the Caledonian canal :-X
