i am looking for a new Motor.
well, not new but new to me.

for a start i dont do small cars,
i dont want to safe the world and environment
i dont want my money to go in other countrys to help anyone
i dont do no space and i like having comfort

but i would never buy a new car to support the car manufactere.
i hate being taxed on the new system as it only benefits the small pothole car drivers.

thinking of keeping the Omea for the other half and if i need a car to go Manchester or London etc.

Buying myself a Cherokee or similar.
Big, big engine, must be fast, thats the reason i got rid of the pajero. it was to slow.
but i like sitting high up.
it must be safe for myself, and have enough space and all the Gauges i like.

Petrol, aorund 3-4 Liter CC Towbar, big Tyres, and all the standart big car toys in it.
anybody has experience or can recommend a model?
Must be Automatik and can Tow a Caravan.

some peeps may saying a smaller car will do, but i dont.
i dont like any sport or hobby apart from Ice Skating without Engine.
i rather go in the car tp the corner shop as wlking. lol

I was going to say frontera b 3.2 auto in black because black cars are faster,
3" rear lift using spacers £23 inc delivery
Front you can use a calmini front lift but very expensive so most owners raise the front on the torsion bars,4 turns = 1" lift most only go 2-2.5" max
2" bodylift £70 but needs bumper mounts altering and a bit cut around where the selector is to allow correct gear selection
Tyres 265/75x16 is the max you can fit without any extreme cutting
3.2 lwb can tow upto 2800kg depending on your licence
The engine is an isuzu 1 and several frontera forums which are like oof and very good
Also good for off roading aswell if you intend to do that.

and i like the shape too.
i think the one on ebay i looked at.

120mph is not bad either.
not sure about rtaising due the originl hight anywy, missus may struggle getting in due to disability and toing the caravan.

its not urgent, i wouldnt buy one in the winter anyway..
wait to the warmer time a year and the prices dropping. lol


just thought about the cherokee as i like the american style cars and it has all the usual gauges as standart where the frontera need it as extras.

leather interior,
aircon / climate controls
and other little toys

also the frontera has headgasket problems , well most of them.

i wait untill a good offer comes around and have a look at it.
either way a frontera or cherokee.
still keeping the omega.

Easily and cheaply rectified though, on a car I had it went at about 75k iirc...........

3.2 dont suffer head gasket failure,2.2 does due to being wrong engine for car.
The last of the fronteras do have a/c leather interior.

Obvious answer was something like a Range Rover, but actually a Frontera is a really good option. I personally really liked them, and no idea where all the stick came from. Having been in several over off road courses, I can't see how they differ in capability from a Landy, personally.

Also they're becoming rarer, and different, a bit like Omegas. Lots of people (Dealers included, it would seem  ) don't knwo what they are now. Best of luck with the search

Agreed     For some reason 4 x 4s (or should I say offroaders / SUVs?) always are overpriced, IMO. Compared with, say an equivalent estate car from the same make and possibly even same engines etc..

Not a BMW man, but for example look at Autotrader, at a 5 series estate...

Shop around,and look on frontera owners forums as they have some come up at good prices,also haggle if dashboard dont work without sidelights,thats £120 repair,brake discs and pads,if worn £100 and also new sliding caliper bolts £10 each,y piece on exhaust looking at £120 common fault on them.

Over here we have a local bloke in a Porsche Cayenne who likes to sit on your bumper towering over you blocking out the sun. Bully is the word that springs to mind.
