Realistically I can't afford a new enough one of either, but as long as petrol is significantly cheaper than diesel, the maths hold water...

120p petrol and 124 diesel at our local BP. Mind you, they really, really, really don't want to sell fuel any more.  Why the hell they don't just take on a Costa franchise and be done with it.

I see the mongrels this morning have now taken out the HGV pumps, so clearly they don't want dirty old truckers in their prestine coffee shop.

109.7p unleaded and 117.7p diesel today  :y

I made a mistake  :-[ diesel is actually 116.7ppl  ;D

Including my Tesco 10ppl off, I paid desperately close to £1 a litre of diesel when I filled the Battlebus earlier in week.  I think the advertised price was 112.9p

Tesco's extra in Swindon, is about 2p dearer at about 118.7p....
Besides I avoid supermarket if possible, no matter how cheap it is.....as its a lottery to where it comes from.....on a good day its one of the UK refineries, which is ok....on a bad day its foreign fuel...which is bad, as it doesn't have as much going for it in the way of additives....so not as good for the engine and less fuel economy.... ;)

Is Asda still the cheapest in Swindon TD? I usually wait for a big discount and go to Tesco's. :-\

All of my cars, for the last ten years, have run solely on supermarket fuel with no problems. Perhaps, instead of moaning about shite fuel, we should buy a modern car. They don't seem to mind it.  ;D
