 ;D

Don't worry Opti, we're about the same price-wise in North Lincolnshire, too.

That said my local factor normally accepts thruppeny bits and a nice bit of flint arrowhead as payment, so exchange rate into decimal hard to calculate  :y

Well true to Jason's word, they have just turned up  :y :y

I would be pulling the car apart now but the missus has hidden the piggin key to the shed so I can't get to my tools  ::)
And just to round it off, we have family coming around so I have to be on my best behaviour

Reminder to ones self to get a spare key cut in the new year  ;D ;D

The kit is a mintex one with the part number of MBA 1266 if anyboby need one  :y

Could you post a final price, please, inc shipping, vat, etc? Atmittedly, at a guess, for us poor fellows lumbered with solid rear discs, the price may be a shade cheaper.

Thanks, and glad OOF has triumphed again!  :y

PS pop over the bridge and borrow the drive if you can get away with it  :y :y

Right, might have hit a snag...

These are the vented item...
Mintex MBA1271

And these are the non vented...
Mintex MBA1266

Double check the length TG... pins should be 86ish mm long and the clips about 55mm across  :-\

Thanks for the heads up Al  :)

Just got the ruler out

The spring measures 55mm with a bit of pressure on by 43 mm
The pins are about 62mm in length.

I also found this on the Mintex site

http://www.brakebook.com/bb/mintex/en_DE/PKW/84/359_Series/15809/applicationSearch.xhtml

Getting confused now  :-\

Here do...
Used, but vented ;)

Spot the difference:

Non Vented...

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m33b2449s3431p81227/Mintex_Brake_Pad_and_Shoe_Fitting_Kits_-_Fitting_Kit_-_MBA1266_Opel_Omega

Vented...

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m33b2449s3431p81247/Mintex_Brake_Pad_and_Shoe_Fitting_Kits_-_Fitting_Kit_-_MBA1271_Opel_Omega

Your reference is arse backwards (insert smiley of choice here ).

Btw, these links are where I got the pics further up from...

MBA 1271 only lists for the Omega whereas MBA 1266 Lists for any Vauxhall fitted with rear discs since Maggie became PM ::)

I'm sure he'll see you right  ;)

Must admit, I didn't want to publicly announce the price before you had had a chance to double check, but I suspect Camskills postage is Royal Mail, and no guarantee of it being in stock either :-\

Personally, I reckon to have ordered summat two working days from Christmas and have it arrive within 24hrs is impressive in anyones book. 8)

Fair points there
That's why I don't normally come on here nowdays when i've had a few beers  ;D

It's first light and i've just been snogged by a big German Sheppard so I take it its time for my walk  :D :D

I'll give Jason a bell when I get back and sort things out.

Thanks for all your help Al, that's another pint I owe you  :)
