Sounds like condensation inside the unit Webby, or on the surface of the disc or both :D.
Run the A/C until the car warms up (in the cabin) :y

Been getting it a bit lately myself, due to the condensation, on original, non-copied discs. Sorry that doesn't exactly help you, but it is a known common fault.

Cheers DBG.

I always wipe the CD before trying to pop it in. So i cant really say its condensation on the disc.

Who knows. if cleaning dont work ill just pop a new one in.

Will i need to know new radio codes or will it just plug n play? :-\

Don't forget condensation on the lens / overall internally  :y Appreciate what you mean, not vast pennies for a replacement, on the other hand you don't want to go throwing a perfectly good stereo out.

All I can suggest is try having the aircon on for a long run, with lots of heat - I find having a rear window ajar helps with internal moisture (no giggling at the back, please  ::)) and after maybe half an hour/an hour, then turn the CD on - if still not playing ball then I'd say it's looking less cold-related and more age-related.

Pull the stereo and pop it in the airing cupboard for a few days :y
