Nope. Change HU. And computer display. And wiper stalk. And some wiring.

Why display? It works without the HU, operated by the buttons on steeringwheel...

Not if you take out the NCDC unit ;)

Analogue steering wheel signal goes to pin 1 of head unit, head unit then sends digital signal to the display.

I think the point that TB is making is, if take the HU out the Display becomes redundant, as in ceases to function.  ;)

It does still function but messages can't be acknowledged, time set, economy/trip information viewed at least on the GID version. But it does tell me the temperature is cold, and the washer bottle need topping up.

And it does provide the climate control with the outside temperature.

But I am looking at making a replacement.. :-)

Carl,
Its still "works" but you have absolutely zero control over it.

What would you guys recommend, convert the NCDC or replace headunit.
I do like the originaal HU, it's nice and 'fits' in the car, but it needs new laser and the cd-cartridge is stuck and dosen't work. On the aftermarket headunit, have been looking Pioneer, everything Works and theres all imaginable connections but it will be like an alien part in the car, it's not 'fitting in'.

Dilemma :(

To clarify, are you looking for outputs to feed an amp, or inputs to connect an MP3 player, etc?

NCDC in the MV6 with sat-nav, I take it this is not Bose !! As I do not have the extra box under the back. As the unit will not read my sat-disc and the CDC holder will not come out what are my options, would I be able to fit a Bose unit and CID and then have Tech2 turn off the Bose on it. Is this possible ? :-\
