Bloody cars!!!!
« on: 29 January 2015, 19:35:15 »

When it rains it certainly pours!!!!!!

Been using the Discovery over the past few days due to the conditions. Yesterday I think I must have driven over something that's flipped up under the car and made a bloody great fist size hole in the centre silencer  >:( >:( >:( ::) ::) ::)

Ah well, went to an ol' mates near to where mum lives & got a complete new one, did me a good deal too cost less than 100 notes  :) :) :)

Just hope I can dig out the garage (under 3ins of snow at the moment) to put the bloody thing on!!!

Well, got the Bastid thing off but not without a fight  >:( >:( >:( The two bloody studs that come from the cats snapped off upon trying to remove them  >:( >:( >:(

I've tried drilling the remainder out however the 2 drills I used snapped  >:( :'( >:( so off to Screwfix tomorrow to get some proper drills that WILL drill out the remainder of the stud. Once out  I'll replace with Nut & bolt, would have been easy if that hadn't happened GRRRR!!!!

Happy happy happy!!!  :D :D :D :D

I won the fight & new exhaust is on & everything is dandy.

Now all I got to figure out is why I've suddenly developed a tapping noise coming from the left bank  ??? ::) ::) On idle it don't alf tap, but goes away when a little throttle is applied  :-[ Been u/neath with engine running and screwdriver to ear, nothing from sump reigon, nothing from block, but when you put ya ear to the down pipe ya get the rattle, just on the left bank. Too low down I think for cam issues, dreading it being a slipped liner  :'( but I think it could be???  Manifold doesn't look either cracked or leaking anywhere.......Ah well need to go discover what it is.......pardon the pun
