Oh dear, I think my relationship with the AA, despite "You really are one of our most valued members".  They want £204, I doubt I'll get that down to a sensible price.

But as I need to call them to cancel anyway....

As of 17th March, I too am no longer an AA member!

They wouldn't go below £141

That'll be me next year I reckon.. I was too bone idle to sort it out this year (or had too much other stuff going on all at once)

Anyone used ADAC? €97 for joint cover, including European breakdown, looks good, but I can't find an English translation of what cover is provided. And my German sucks.

I'm guessing its not for me, but worth looking into.

My expiring AA was Joint Roadside Relay, and that's pretty much what I'm looking at getting, although euro cover would be nice (although only £30ish using a 3rd party anyway)

I have green flag breakdown £50 for the year but it is only for the one car but it does include home start and relay etc but the car has to be less than 16 years old

This is why it has to be a person policy to cover older cars, and the fact we have 3 of them...

From what little I can glean:
You have to call a German number if you break down
If you need a tow, ADAC will only pay the AA the first €200 in the UK, you have to pay the extra. Looks to be approx. £1 per mile, that includes Mr AA's journey to you, the tow, and his journey home.
