My F/L elite has this unit fitted and while it works ok I was wondering if there's a plug'n'play type upgrade to a better unit?If so what would I be looking for and what sort of prices are we talking?By the way my car doesn't have the built in sat nav-colour screen or otherwise-that some have,it seems it came with the traffic master system installed instead.

Have you got the BOSE amplifier under the parcel shelf?

Yes
My 2003 2.6 Elite had the CCR2006 and BOSE when I bought it. The laser was weak in the head unit (skips occasionally when playing CDs) and I wanted to fit my DAB radio anyway.

I bought some speakers from a non-BOSE car and part of the BOSE wiring loom to get the plug that goes behind the drivers side kick panel. I also bought a double DIN adapter for my single DIN radio and another adapter for the steering wheel controls.

The speakers are not great so I want to fit some better quality ones and my head unit gets quite warm (which confuses the climate control  ::))
