I've only had one, but I'll have had it for 9 years in July and I'd never had a car much longer than 18 months before the Omega!  :y

I'm on my second estate and bought them purely for their weight. I needed a hefty kerb weight for towing our caravan and the Omega was one of the heaviest cars at the time. In twenty five years of caravanning with various cars the Omega's have proven to be very stable tow cars. No other reason for me, I'm not even loyal to Vauxhall, they just happened to make a very heavy car that suited my needs.  :)

Because Capris are no longer affordable, and I now want a comfortable cruiser.

Yep, certainly a comfortable place to be. I bought both of mine when they were just nine months old so I've lost a small fortune. May as well hang on to it for as long as I can now.

We have had an Omega In the family since 2000, need to replace current saloon for an Estate at some point though, since the Jeep went, we don't have a good load lugger..... ;) ;)

Have just realised that I am also on my sixth :o although I do still have my third one...

For me the Omega is the car that the Scorpio should have been... when I bought my first one in 2005 it seemed a natural successor to the Mk3 Granada.

Never fancied a prefacelift one, and whilst the saloons are a smidgen more refined, the estate is a bloody good all rounder, and imho better proportioned...

My estates have outnumbered the saloon 5:1, which is the polar opposite to the official sales, and four have been 3.2s, tother two were a shortlived 2.0 16v CD manual estate and an almost as shortlived 2.2 Sport auto saloon.

Had my first one (pfl) for over seven years, when it was time to replace looked high and low and decided that the only replacement for the Omega was, another Omega. Will be sad when the dwindling supply finally runs oul. :'(

I have 2, owned the v6 2.6cd since 2004 when it was 8 months old, and its been reliable obviously with at least routine annual maintenance, and lpg conversion in 2004 has made it economical as well. A really comfortable, and super motorway cruiser.Alas, its time is nearly due and it has had to step aside for an electric hybrid , but because I also have a 3.2 manual V6 special - this I am keeping for the driving pleasure, and trusty old reubens red will live on as a donor

It was i car that i had overlooked on several occasions, until my new neighbour arrived with the CDX, on a 53 plate. I then started to look at them in more detail and hence the recent purchase.

For me, it comes down to value for money, comfort, space, and being rear wheel drive ;D
Oh and not being a BMW, Mercedes or Audi, is a bit more exclusive and rare!
