Spark plug antifoulers
« on: 13 May 2015, 16:40:51 »

KW posted in 2010 that he proposed to try these presumably to avoid re-siting the pre-cat lambdas. Has any one tried it?

Yes, I did.

Fell at the first hurdle. The nose of the Lambda sensor is too wide to fit into one.

Relocating the lambda sensors has effected a cure, however. :y

Could you have drilled it out big enough, Kevin? I know that was required on the MR2 but of course the sensor nose could be (even) bigger on the Omega :y

I did look at it and decided there wouldn't be much meat left on it by then. The nose of the sensor is only slightly smaller diameter than the threaded part.

Of course, and change of Lambda sensor might have been possible, but is then easier just to move them.
