There's a lad at work, named 10mill. Wouldn't of helped him.

Spanner he had was too small. So asked for a bigger one. He was told he needed a 10mm spanner, but promptly asked in a stroppy voice "well what size is that?"  10MILL ... YA HALF WIT!

I popped into Halfords today, to buy a mains to 12Vdc adaptor for £15 to power my 12v coolbox...

Website said Swindon branch had stock.....but I couldn't see any...young girl helped me look but she couldn't find them either.....so she got a colleague over, who said there usually next to the coolboxes, but when he couldn't find any either, simply suggested, that as there quite small, they have probably been nicked  .
She went and checked the computer and it said 17 in stock....I said they carnt all have been nicked, so where are they.....She went and asked the manager who told her where to look on shelves....except where they were suppose to be (according to label on the shelve) was empty.

Fair play to her, she said she was determined to find them.....10 mins later she was back with one in her hand....said she found it in the 'reserved' bin....but I could have it  ....she said haven't a clue where the other 16 are tho'.

I thanked her for all the time she spent looking for me.....but no wonder the price of bulbs have shot up.... if they need to recover losses, like losing 16 power packs in just one store   

Shelf price £15.....TC price £15  Never mind tho.....cheapest off ebay was £13....and then I would have to go collect from the sorting office .....

Me only complaint of the 200pc set is its bloody heavy . Did I mention it was heavy?

Its not a bad starter set for people coming back in to car mechanics, and if bought with the £15 (retail) tray mouldings (not available online), fits nicely in a tool chest/trolley. Get some pliers, cutters, molegrips etc, and you have a decent set of tools for modern cars, that just needs adding to when the specialised bits are needed

But that 200pc is bloody heavy


But in case anyone wasn't aware, only ever buy the Halfords sets when on half price offer (most of the time, either in store or online), or ideally on Halfords Trade, where they come in under half price, eg the 200pc one is £300 retail, £150 on the common half price offer, or £120 trade.

Who was talking about 150pc trays, ya bloody mongrel. They have been online since the last 150pc set came out (so not really much good for your slightly older 150pc set, and bloody useless for tunnie's original (and best) 150pc set).

The 200pc trays (3 of them, £15 retail) are currently only available in store
