Thanks for the comments guys, my GP told me that there are a lot of people my age doing the same, retiring early but then taking on some less stressful roles, which is my plan..... ;)

Paperwork completed on one job offer this morning, got home to find written confirmation of a verbal offer last Friday, a Hertfordshire company based just a few miles away from where I worked when in Hertfordshire, but working up here. This should come with 20 core hours per week during term time + other work available during school holidays, they are just waiting for Middlesbrough Council to sign the contract........... :y :y

3 more applications in, one interview next week. All these are zero hour contracts, except the 20 hour, which is hopefully going to happen, so I see myself either in great demand or no work at all, in which I have 2 fall back plans of guaranteed part time employment. A little bit scary but really exciting at the same time.............. :D :D :y

Fingers crossed it all works out for you :y

Got a phone call, followed by an email with an offer of 16 hour contract as an Autism Resource Worker, starting Monday............ ::) ::) :y :y

In addition to some hours as an Outreach Worker with the same charity, and still have an offer from another company.......... :y

Turned down, today a 3 months work via an agency, and withdrew 2 applications with Barnardo's, having been invited to Interview, same job, 2 locations.......... :y :y

Yet sent in another CV tonight............ ::) ::)

Still have an interview next week, looking like being spoilt for choice; all to top up my pension............ :y :y
