The alloy looks like its got primer sprayed onto it, more than it being brake dust or even brake cleaner....?

Theres also a nice black 3.2 MV6 estate with Recaro leathers on too :)

177000 on that one , looks nice too  :)

It's not black, it's green?

Thank god, I thought it was my eyes...

Well itd definitely for our older members, as its in gay gold, and has a beige, interior, just needs a tartan blanket on the back seats, and then its got the full old gits look. ;D

Gold is the new black especially in V6 manual style  :P

Ref the gold saloon I emailed the seller asking about specific Cambelt history.

I am genuinely half interested.

His reply was "everything is detailed in a service book which comes with the car"

So sadly I still do not know a date and mileage of the belt kit, so will not bid.

The Cambelt doesn't bother me that much but the unwillingness to answer the question puts me off on the whole... :(

I'd budget cambelt and cam covers on any Omega I would buy, as they will no doubt need doing. Even if the belt stated it was done last month, I'd probably get it done again. So easy to be out, who knows if they used the kit and got the timing right.

For me, belt history, has zero impact on the car  :y

That said can be used as a haggle technique  :)

I guess that means he doesn't know when it was changed then or else he would have happily of said so  :( Thats the trouble when you have to factor in the cam belt change cost/water pump/coolant/oil changes ..it can all add up .

Must type faster  ::) and cam cover gaskets  ;D

.  Wise move if somebody has looked after a vehicle properly all these important questions should easily be answered, peoples idea of service history varies widely as we all know!!

Why do you lot take the p**s every time an Omega comes up for sale. So you don't like gold...tough...they came in that colour. One of my three is that colour, and its in better condition than some the 'fantastic black models' that are about.
The guy who is selling it, probably loves his car as much as I love my three...we want to see these cars continue to stay on the road.
Sorry for the rant, but it bloody annoys me with the negative stuff that appears as soon as somebody puts up an ad for an Omega !!!!!

I'm not taking the piss... I am genuinely keeping half an eye out for one with a colour screen, especially a late 3.2 (even in gold!) but If the bloke isn't actually prepared to look at the history for me and give me the Cambelt info (or even just say he doesn't know) - then it makes me less likely to want to deal with him...

It's not the Cambelt history that worries me. I can do a Cambelt in no time. It's the unwillingness to answer the question....

Can all depend really on how much you like cleaning your car and how much effort you're willing to put into keeping it looking right. On a personal level I think black is the best colour for any car, however from a keeping it looking good point of view I'd take gold over a dark colour every time!My car by the way is graphite effect, but I don't care enough about it to worry over it looking good or not!
