Another plane has crashed at Oulton park this morning, where carfest is being held.
These things always seem to happen close together. :(

Passengers were members of the Bin laden family. mmmm.   ::)

Ooo a conspiracy theory, were's cem when we need him, suppose we have to,put up with rods blaming that Putin bloke :)

Speculation is that it landed too far down the runway, realised he was not going to stop and may have tried to takeoff to do a go-around. No conspiracy as most pilots don't want to accidently kill themselves. Sadly he seems to have made a pigs ear of the landing and paid the price. :'( Small passenger aircraft and business jets have two to four times the accident rate of commercial airlines with most due to pilot error. :(

A flight path posted on PPRUNE suggests he made a very tight circuit considering the aircraft type and his height ballooned at one point. Could be that he just didn't give himself enough time and space to stabilise the approach and didn't realise he'd cocked it up until too late. :'(

Strange though... Blackbushe isn't really that complex an approach for light aircraft... Something odd with the situation... Unless there was a rookie pilot as well :-\

Depending on the power settings, it sadly sounds like he oppsed up the flare at the end of the approach after dodging the microlight  :-\

Nothing to have stopped him opening up the throttles and going around though unless he was distracted by somebody on board  :-\

All hypothetical of course  ;)

Do you think British Car Auctions have third party fire and flight insurance... bit of a shit for the prospective sellers of the burnt out motors.

An aircraft of that weight should have enough 3rd party liability insurance to cover a few cars, I think.
