Bosch put their tuppence worth in today, saying they advise customers not to alter the software settings in their products.

Attached to the note is the biggest winking smiley in history...

"Just for fun, we developed some software to defeat the emissions tests and sold it to VW."

The government is saying no one will have to pay a higher rate of VED so, as far as I can see, no reason to take your car in for a recall. Just don't get it serviced by VW, or they'll 'do it' anyway.
