Help needed finding something
« on: 01 November 2015, 09:49:21 »

Hello, I need a set of brand new back shock absorders with the air-levelling function to Finland. And with good price :) Is this possible?

Opel ones are crazy expensive atleast in norway. In norway and sweden car accesories chain "mekonomen" sells air shocks from monroe for the omega. You probably have some similar chains in Finland to? The monroe set is just a fraction of the cost. Comes in a box with two shocks, gauge filler nozzle for manual filling and much pipework. Just take the shocks and throw the rest of the pipes and stuff away. The shocks work fine with the omega leveling system. You have to make small modifications to the cars airlines where they enter the shocks since the connectors are different. Easily done with a knife and a lighter:)

Yes its automatic. Leveling system push and release air as needed regardless if the shocks are GM or monroe. Done this on my car and system behaves same way it always did and keeps the rear of the car at the same height.

I have sedan, which do you have?

Hmm, thanks for the answers :)

As I searched ebay I came up with these http://www.ebay.de/itm/Opel-Stosdampfer-Omega-B-Limousine-Limo-alle-Modelle-hinten-m-Niveauregulierung-/251847071423?hash=item3aa34156bf

What do you think about those?? Its just the problem that I'm not good at ordering anything from outlands so even a better idea for me is to someone of you get me these and we'll sort it out with bank transfer or something :)

In Finland they can't even order these anymore from GM local seller....

The compressors are quite noisy... Think tyre pump bolted to the chassis noisy. Personally I would be more concerned if you can't hear it, especially if it is working as expected ;)

Well yes that's true but I mean it's making this sound that is like a horn of a car and non-stop untill it stops so about 15-20 seconds :) I think it's this "bearing" on the photo. Or then just the piston. But after cleanup and good crease it was good for about 4months.

Does anyone know where I could get that kind of bearing or whatever it is?

Hard to tell from the photo but if it's a normal ball/roller sealed bearing then if you can measure the ID & OD somewhere like simplybearings (http://www.simplybearings.co.uk) will have something suitable
