 Anybody had any good or bad experience with klarius exhausts from ecp. Its for the wifes nissan almera tino.

After I re read your post, I realised you weren't wanting to know about exhausts for an Omega, but as I had typed it all out, I might as well leave it in case its of use to someone.... !!!
As an alternative to original GM exhausts (which are expensive), I have had good service from Bosal pieces on my 3.2. They last well, have a good original exhaust note / sound to them, and fit very well. I have a Walker section in the garage and against the same Bosal section, there's no comparison. The Bosal is heavier and sturdier,  and better made in my opinion. In fact I would prefer Bosal over GM and they are about half the cost. The only issue I have found with Bosal is the listing for V6 models only shows the 2.5/3.0 and not 2.6/3.2, and as a result the tailpipes from the back box are marginally shorter, which can result in exhaust gases staining the bumper around the tail pipe.  I got round this by removing the polished tips from the original GM back box and fitting them to the replacement using instant metal filler. The tips have stayed on now for 5 years with no problems. This gives the original appearance of the angled exhaust tips instead of the later GM straight finished tips. If you aren't bothered about originality then any tips will do - straight or angled.

That's very interesting. Bosal quality had dropped right off and were expensive when compared to the offerings of ETS/Eternal from the bay (around £115 will get a full system delivered to your door). Can you confirm whether the mid sections have the clam shell design box like the GM ones?

No, the Bosal silencers are oval shaped, but not many people look underneath comparing the shape of the silencers!
The Bosal centre sections that I bought recently were approx. £60 each delivered. I'd rather pay a bit more than other makes because of their solid construction. The tailpipe was a bit more, but didn't get that section as I have two new GM twin outlet rear boxes 'in stock'.

Just do what I did and get a CatBack system custom made to order from Stainless Steel :)

Wasn't cheap though....

Got one from Poland earlier this year with 30months warranty. Site is ACE-Gerlach. It was well made and from quite thick metal.

The Bosal system I bought for my Senator (15?) years ago lasted barely 2 yrs. Though it was expensive at getting on for £500, the stainless Jetex I fitted to my Omega lasted for years & years ....... it was scrapped (not by me) with it on

I have a stainless cat back system on my 3.2 estate, which looks to be well made out of 304 stainless as there is no rust on it, but it is quite 'drony' at about 2500 rpm. The other issue is that the company who fitted it (before I got the car) cut the ends of the front pipes, and welded the stainless sections to it, so effectively making the cats and middle pipes one piece.
I am thinking of getting new cats and going back to a standard steel system. I'm quite happy with the quality, fit and durability of Bosal, so I think it will be BM cats, and the rest Bosal.

Bosal is generally the shittiest of the nasty end.  Its unlikely it will last the warranty period, and certainly not much past it.

That's why we tend to recommend those ones which people have had on for years, so we can have proper lifetime reviews :)


So many stainless companies bodge the exhaust on by cutting the cats and either clamping or welding mid sections straight to it.  These people are clearly complete retards who are too stupid to really understand what they are doing. Hence you shouldn't buy exhausts from places that do this (which is virtually all made-on-site stainless places).

Again, pretty much all stainless exhausts have that irritating motorway cruise drone, no matter how you ask them to make it.

Given that the £90 delivered (for both mid sections and backbox) exhausts from the recommended places seem to last 5-6yrs, and stainless tends to start at 4 times the cost, you're looking at 20-24yrs for payback, thus doesn't make financial sense.

I have to disagree about Bosal. The one I fitted to my 3.2 saloon about 5 years ago is still going strong with no particular areas of corrosion. Sounds well too - accentuates the V6. I know each to their own but I'll be sticking with Bosal.
The car stands out and isn't garaged too......
