Its amazing all these things that are not pc, taboo, not done these days etc. When in actual fact if people got talking they would see ( as this thread proves albeit on a very small scale) that "great" Britain has an awful lot of discontent unhappy tax payers. We dont all believe the PC stuff we are fed.

Example: When i was growing up we had a little figure on the top of a jam jar ( i wont use the word, its not pc!! i am sure some folk loved the little golly i am referring to) what good has banning this done, what positive everyday difference has this produced, how many murders has this stopped!!!? How can anyone suggest my viewing of this appealing little character, whilst i was a child,  has made me a career criminal, a murderer or a racist?

Also why are we now not allowed to call a black board a black board  ::) Just a few examples of ott political correctness.

Call us the silent majority! The unhappy majority.

As i have said before "the lunatics are running the asylum" its about time we stopped bowing down and conforming. Free speech after all!!

Actually, there are brand new hospitals / hospital wards built but not in use because the local health authorities are so over spent.  Why are they overspent, one reason is because the government closed all of the specialist institutes that dealt with mental health etc and made the local health authorities pick up their care requirements and hence the cost.

We need to keep the Doctors and Nurses we already have before training any new ones.  Again, wards under staffed facing redundancies?

And I don’t even work for the NHS :exclamation

A board is whatever colour it is as is a sheep.

A Golly is a childrens character, if you thnk it looks like a real person I am afraid that it makes you racist as you assume that people think that a Golly is a person rather than a figure.

All of this though is just for fear of causing racial offence and, although silly, I may just be able to see the point.
The stuff I'm really fed up with is the absolutely non-sensical stuff.

Like banning unoin jacks from public buildings, trying to teach young kids twenty seven different religions in school when, basically, they're not even interested in one, and giving MY money to help people in far flung places when I cant find a dentist for my lad. It took me three years to get him assessed for aspergers becase of a staff shortage.

By the way, last week "a-m-e-r-i-c-a-n" was being changed to "sherman tank" after Mark DTM was playing around with the word filters - looks like its back to normal.
