Parts help required.
« on: 27 February 2016, 15:50:23 »

Hi, I have been having trouble trying to find and exhaust manifold gasket (manifold to head) and studs/nuts for the head to manifold and manifold to downpipe. Anybody have any suggestions on where to get them ordered from?

It's a 51 reg 2.2 Petrol.

Thanks.

Wow, those studs and nuts are expensive :o
I paid less than a fiver for more than enough to do both V6 heads and both manifold to downpipes.

M8x40 studs seem to be a standard size, as they fit most metric design Ford engines too.

By all means use stainless studs in the heads but flared copper nuts should ALWAYS be used..... copper expands at a different rate to steel so remain tight and also have less chance of corroding and seizing up....
